At Heartland Thermography, our goal is to give you clarity, confidence, and peace of mind through a safe and comfortable imaging experience. Thermography allows you to see the story your body is telling by capturing heat patterns and physiological changes long before structural changes appear. The entire process is non invasive, radiation free, and designed to support you on your wellness journey.

Step One. Schedule Your Appointment

You can schedule your appointment online or by calling our office. Once your appointment is confirmed, we send simple preparation instructions so your scan is as accurate as possible. These instructions include avoiding lotions, deodorants, and heavy exercise beforehand, as well as staying out of the sun and refraining from chiropractic or massage work on the day of your scan. These small steps help ensure that your thermogram reflects your natural thermal patterns.

Step Two. Arrive and Get Settled

When you arrive at Heartland Thermography, you are greeted by a calm, private, and welcoming environment. You will spend a few moments in the imaging room acclimating to the controlled temperature. This allows your body to reach a neutral thermal state, which is essential for accurate imaging.

There is no undressing beyond removing clothing from the regions being scanned. There is no compression, no contact, no radiation, and no discomfort. You remain standing comfortably while the thermographer explains exactly what to expect.

Step Three. The Thermography Scan

Your scan is completed with a medical grade infrared camera that measures heat coming from the surface of your skin. These cameras capture temperature variations and patterns that may reflect inflammation, lymphatic congestion, changes in blood flow, or physiological stress in different regions of the body.

The process is quick and gentle. For a breast scan, a series of images are taken from multiple angles to provide a complete thermal map. For full body or regional scans, the thermographer guides you through simple positions to ensure every area is captured clearly. Most scans take only ten to fifteen minutes.

Step Four. Your Results and Recommendations

When your report is completed, you receive a copy along with guidance. We walk you through the results so you understand what each image means and how to use this information to support your health decisions.

Depending on the findings, you may be encouraged to follow up with your physician, pursue further testing, or begin a personalized wellness plan. Many clients use thermography as a consistent monitoring tool because it provides a clear view of how the body changes over time. Follow up scans show patterns of improvement or heightened activity that may need attention.

Why Thermography Works

Thermography observes temperature and blood flow at the surface of the skin, both of which are controlled by the autonomic nervous system. Any process that increases or decreases metabolic activity generates a measurable thermal response. This allows thermography to detect functional changes before structural abnormalities are visible through traditional imaging.

Because thermography is radiation free, it can be safely repeated for ongoing monitoring. Women of all ages, including pregnancy and breastfeeding, can use thermography as a supportive tool in their health journey.

A Gentle and Empowering Experience

Our mission is to provide you with a health experience that is respectful, uplifting, and centered on your comfort. You deserve imaging that honors your body, gives you clarity, and helps you make confident decisions about your wellness.

Thermography is not a replacement for mammograms or other diagnostic tools. It is a powerful component of a comprehensive approach to breast and whole body health. At BRAS Heartland Thermography, we guide you every step of the way with care, compassion, and professionalism.
